FAQ’s

I teach violin, viola, & cello for students of all ages. It’s never too late to learn for the first time, or return to the love of an instrument you used to play!

My lessons take place in my studio located upstairs in Boomer Music Co.

Books and Music:

• If you are a beginner, please bring Suzuki Volume 1 for your instrument.

• Bring any orchestra books, pieces, or solos that you have worked on.

Instrument:

• If you need help sizing/picking out your first instrument, schedule a time to meet with me at Boomer Music and we’ll get you set up with a rental.

• If you have your own instrument, bring it to your first lesson.

I pride myself in being a teacher that can visualize my students’ trajectory and adjust accordingly to best uplift them in each and every lesson.

Is my student aiming to study music in college, or are they looking for extra support with their school orchestra music? Are they playing just for fun, and wanting to play music outside of the traditional classical training path?

Whatever your goals are, there is ample room in my lessons to pursue what brings you joy in music making.

While weekly lessons are typically recommended for consistency purposes, not everyone’s schedules can accommodate weekly lessons. Many students balance other extracurriculars with private lessons.

Let me know in your intake form if you have a schedule that will fluctuate seasonally, and we can try to find a lesson routine that works well for both of us.

• 30 minute lessons: $40

• 45 minute lessons: $50

• 1 hour lessons: $65
